The Uncommon Sense Baker is a mother-daughter microbakery based in Ventura, California. This project is part of the Uncommon Sense School, which is all about real learning through doing. In this project, I’m teaching my daughter how to build and run a small baking business from our home kitchen — from crafting recipes and managing costs to customer service and turning passion into profit. We specialize in small-batch, from-scratch baked goods like our signature Chunky Brown Butter Cookies, Sticky Bottom Cinnamon Rolls, and fresh ButterTop White & Wheat Sandwich Breads. Everything is made with simple, real ingredients and lots of Uncommon Sense. Follow along as we grow the business, learn valuable life skills, and share the journey — with the goal of eventually teaching other families how to do the same through an upcoming course on The Uncommon Sense School.
